#InterregGeBRoute – Group Y

The project funded by the European cross-border fund Interreg Italy France Maritime called Green & Blue Route Plan has officially started.

With yesterday’s participation in the first Piloting Committee, Velando (Group Y company) starts the activities of the Green & Blue Route Plan project for the sustainable development of nautical tourism in the area between Sardinia, Tuscany, Liguria, Corse and the southern coast of France. The project aims at defining new standards for a sustainable attendance of marine areas protected by nautical tourism as well as for a greater integration of the nautical sector with the remaining tourist offer of the territories, in order to enrich the visitors’ holiday experience. “It is a great initiative that projects our sector towards the future and that does it systemically in partnership with the main institutional players in the territories concerned” said Francesco Della Torre, CEO of Velando. The project is led by Navigo Toscana and, besides Velando, the other partners are Confindustria Centro Nord Sardegna, Camera di Commercio per l’Industria e l’Artigianato di Nizza/Costa Azzurra, Azienda Speciale Riviere di Liguria of Camera di Commercio della Riviera Ligure. The second phase of the project involves additional companies in the sector with forms of incentives for the adoption of more sustainable production models and for the strengthening of their commercial positioning.
