Abandoned mines and ghost towns
|
A walk along ancient
paths once used by miners, flanked by high calcareous walls over
the seashore, where ships once waited for their precious mineral
cargo.
From the Malfidano
mine of Buggerru to the ones at Masua and Nebida, in the Iglesias
district. A long hike along the old miner trails of the
Sulcis-Iglesiente in the company of former miners who today work as
tourist guides and will render your day a fascinating adventure of
intense emotions.

Sardinia’s Nautical Exhibition First Edition!
|
Get Ready for the
1st Edition of the festival dedicated to Sardinia and yachting from
April 22nd to 26th!
Prosail, a Group Y company, is pleased to inform you that it will
participate in the 1st Edition of the Sardinia Nautical Exhibition
which will take place at the Marina di Olbia (MOYS), where the
entire Dufour range will be exhibited.
The exhibition
formula was designed to offer, an outdoor event, with the
possibility of testing boats at sea, in compliance with the rules
for pandemic containment.
During the event there will be organise meetings and conferences on
topics connected with the development of boating, the green
approach to the construction and management of boats, the multiple
possibilities of access to financial instruments in support of the
nautical market, the initiatives of the institutions for
development tourism and industrial activities in Sardinia and other
topics that will be available on the updated calendar on the event
website www.fieranauticadisardegna.it (under construction).
The entrance for
visitors is free and you can admire the yachts of local production
and those imported by the many operators of the area, in addition
to the Charters’ companies and the services of agencies that in
various ways operate in Sardinia.

A deeply solemn,
spiritual and contemplative atmosphere reigns during the Holy Week
celebrations in Sardinia, which are steeped in emotion, involve
entire communities and offer a truly passionate experience.
Centuries-old
ceremonial rites rooted in the Middle Ages and tinged with Spanish
tradition come together in archaic Campidanian, Logudorenian and
Barbagian traditions that date back to Nuragic paganism. During
Holy week, from the coast to hinterland villages you will discover
Sardinia’s most authentic essence and experience an itinerary of
sacred rituals that revolve around the Passion of Christ. Holy Week
in Alghero reveals its Spanish roots. It all starts on the Friday
before Palm Sunday with the Addolorata Procession and ends at
Easter with the Encontre. The Disclavament (deposition) is deeply
emotional: the body of Christ is carried in procession on His
deathbed and as the sun sets, the town is illuminated by glow of
torches and lanterns draped in red veils.
