At Yachting in Sardinia, we make your complete booking experience easy. This comprehensive guide details exactly how to buy a sailing holiday without any confusion. Our tried and tested roadmap for a perfect escape to the Mediterranean.
Your 4-Step Roadmap to the Perfect Charter
When you plan ahead, you’ll ensure you only have the right boat and itinerary. Designed to take you through the steps in order, this is a plan for a stress-free vacation.
Step 1: Define Your Group and Travel Dates
Calculate the number of guests to expect. This means the more people that want to stay at the hotel, the bigger the cabins and bathrooms need to be. Choose your preferred Travel Period. Note that July and August are busy months, May and June and September are quieter months.
Step 2: To choose Your Ideal Vessel Style
Choose the kind of boat that suits you. Catamarans are very stable and feature generous room for families. The traditional monohull offers a traditional, sail-powered experience. Motor yachts provide quick transportation from one remote island stop to another.
Step 3: Decide on Your
Who’s at the helm? If you hold a skipper license and have a solid sailing resume, take the boat out yourself with a bareboat charter. If relaxation is the goal, opt for a crewed charter—a local captain takes care of the navigation, so you can just unwind.
Step 4: Book Your Route and Lock In
Check out personalized destinations recommendations with our booking agents. Ensure you have any extras you have on board (paddleboards, etc) or special dietary requests. Sign the standard electronic charter agreement and deposit to reserve the vessel.
